Brgy. Caticlan being the gateway to Boracay Island

Apr 22, 2023

Brgy. Caticlan being the gateway to Boracay Island should be equipped with necessary Lifesaving Skills. With a population of 8,223 or 14% of the total population of Malay; its busy streets (public Market, Airport, Caticlan Port), accidents may happen more frequently here.
Rose Clored Glasses International and Philippine Red Cross Boracay-Malay Chapter continue to work in capacitating communities and every home with Lifesavers.
This time, the majority of our beneficiaries were young adults (some are out of school youth). They were trained in Emergency First Aid and CPR, and Disaster Preparedness.
They were also oriented on proper hygiene to prevent disease transmission.
Beneficiaries received 5 kilos of rice and hygiene kits. Thank you so much to our valued donors, the Gary and Madoka Foundation, for the continued support.

About Robert

I am a Canadian living in Japan and the Philippines for more than 40 years. After surviving the tsunami in Phuket, Thailand, in December 2004, I decided it was finally time to act on a long held desire to do something for the children of the area who have less available to them in terms of health care, shelter and education. I have established a non profit organization that helps care for these needs of some children. I sincerely thank those who would like to contribute to the cause in any way, please email us at: info@rosecgi.org
