The physician-population ratio in the Philippines is 3-4/ 10,000

Dec 27, 2022

The physician-population ratio in the Philippines is 3-4/ 10,000. Way lower than the prescribed 1:1, 000 of the World Health Organization. This is why through Project REDEEM, we continue to empower vulnerable members of the community by training them on basic first Aid and prevention of disease transmission. Most of the beneficiaries live in the upland of Brgy. Cubay and have little access to the health services. They also received 5 kilos of rice each and hygine kits. Josephine Santolesis, one of the beneficiaries said it will last them for a couple of days. Thank you Rose CGI. Thank you to our sponsor, the Gary and Madoka Foundation.

About Robert

I am a Canadian living in Japan and the Philippines for more than 40 years. After surviving the tsunami in Phuket, Thailand, in December 2004, I decided it was finally time to act on a long held desire to do something for the children of the area who have less available to them in terms of health care, shelter and education. I have established a non profit organization that helps care for these needs of some children. I sincerely thank those who would like to contribute to the cause in any way, please email us at: info@rosecgi.org
